Film Roll of the Month - June

I was exceptionally busy during June. A lot of traveling to both Arizona and California for photoshoots, meetings, and events. I’ve been spending so much time with my digital camera in my hand, and working behind the scene on magazine things, that grabbing the film cameras has been a bit of a chore.

I find it difficult to strap on the digital camera rig and also have the film camera on board at the same time - it’s a completely different mindset for me. When I use the one of my film units, I slow down, look at things a bit differently, knowing there are only 36 frames to get me through the day. So, in that headspace, I like it better if I go out intentionally and take only film.

My June roll of film begins in Arizona at a photoshoot with Ed’s T34 Ghia, continues to a Cars & Coffee event in Henderson, NV. Next is a Porsche meet in Las Vegas called Cars und Kaffe, and the last few are from the Vegas Classic Car Festival.

For this roll I used my Canon AE-1 Program with the Canon 50mm lens. The film stock for this roll was Kodak Gold 200.

For my next roll in July, I’m going to pull out a different camera from my stash - one I’ve not used before. Hopefully that one will be up to the task! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Are you ready? I'm ready.
Eric
